Reflections Elderly Magazine is a vibrant platform dedicated to honoring the elderly community. Our magazine envisions a world where the power of storytelling bridges generations, fostering healing and connection. Through our writing workshops in elderly care homes, we empower seniors to explore and articulate their personal experiences and struggles, transforming their feelings of loneliness into a shared journey of discovery. By providing a platform for their voices, we help them reconnect with their own stories and with those around them. The work culminates in a magazine, showcasing their work and distributed to family members and the wider community. This publication not only celebrates the elders' wisdom but also fosters genuine understanding and empathy, bringing together the communities through the timeless art of storytelling.

Here is what we do:

Host weekly writing workshops in elderly care homes, engaging in vibrant conversations and encouraging writing.

Produce 3 pieces of writing for each elder

Create an anthology/ magazine with one piece from the elders who "submit" their work (express interest for their writing to be included), distributing printed versions for free for family and friends

Reach out to elderly communities in places as far as Seoul, Korea and Lynchburg, Virginia
